Alyson Hannigan Confirmed for American Reunion

Alyson Hannigan, who rose to fame with the American Pie franchises, will be reprising her role in the upcoming American Reunion.

Fellow original cast members Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott and Eugene Levy have also signed on.

Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Chris Klein, Mena Suvari and Jennifer Coolidge are still in negotiations with the studio.

According to reports, Hannigan took a while to sign on due to the plot that revolves around her marriage and child with Biggs’ character.

Filming is set to begin next month.

Catherine Zeta-Jones Seeks Treatment for Bipolar Disorder

Catherine Zeta-Jones has checked into a mental health facility to treat her Bipolar II disorder.

“After dealing with the stress of the past year, Catherine made the decision to check in to a mental health facility for a brief stay to treat her Bipolar II disorder,” the rep says in a statement. “She’s feeling great and looking forward to starting work this week on her two upcoming films.”

The actress’ husband Michael Douglas’s underwent a six-month chemotherapy and radiation for a tumor on his songue and in January he was declared free of cancer. Zeta-Jones was by his side the entire time.

According to a source it has been a hard year for the actress.

“There’s no question it’s been a stressful year,” the source said. “Catherine has had deal with Michael’s illness and that’s been hard. She went in for a few days because she’s about to start working, and wanted to make sure she’s in top form, which she is.”

DVD Review: Tron: Legacy

Ben Affleck in Talks for The Great Gatsby

Ben Affleck is in negotiations to join the cast of the 3D adaption of The Great Gatsby.

If he signs on, Affleck will join Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, and Carey Mulligan.

Baz Luhrmann will direct.

Reportedly, Affleck is in the middle of preparing to direct his new film, Argo, but if he can coordinate the details, he will play Tom Buchanan, the husband of Mulligan’s Daisy.

Ryan Gosling: Shirtless for Crazy, Stupid, Love

Ryan Gosling shows off his abs in a trailer for his new film Crazy, Stupid, Love.

The film centers around a father (Steve Carell) who is dealing with a marital crisis. Gosling plays Carell’s suave best friend.

The film also stars Julianne Moore, Emma Stone, Kevin Bacon and Marisa Tomei.

Crazy, Stupid, Love hits theaters on July 29.

Tina Fey Expecting Second Child

30 Rock actress Tina Fey is expecting her second child!

The 40-year-old announced the news during a taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show on Wednesday.

She also revealed in her book Bossypants that she had restless nights about whether or not she wanted another baby.

In the memoir she wrote that during a visit to her gynecologist, she broke down.

“I went for my annual checkup and, tired of carrying this anxiety around, burst into tears the moment she said hello,” Fey wrote. ”I laid it all out for her, and the main thing I took away from our conversation was the kind of simple observation that only an impartial third party can provide: ‘Either way, everything will be fine.’ ”

According to her rep, the actress is five months along.

Fey and her husband, composer Jeff Richmond, also have a 5½-year-old daughter, Alice.

Lily Collins Nabs Snow White Lead

Lily Collins has landed the lead role in Universal’s upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman.

The 22-year-old actress will work alongside Viggo Mortensen, who will play the Huntsman, Armie Hammer, who will play the prince and Julia Roberts who was cast as the evil queen.

Collins is best known for her role in The Blind Side. She reportedly “blew away” the execs at Relativity with her audition for Snow White.

The film is set to open on June 29, 2012.
