Ryan Reynolds Injured on the Set of Green Lantern

Ryan Reynolds was injured on Monday (July 12) on the set of his new film Green Lantern, which he’s currently filming in New Orleans.

While shooting scenes for the film, Reynolds separated his shoulder.

According to a source, the 33-year-old actor “is in lots of pain. He’s been keeping ice on it.”

Blake Lively is also starring in the film, where she will play Reynolds’ love interest.

The movie is set for a June 2011 release.

Mark Ruffalo: New Hulk?

According to reports, actor Mark Ruffalo is very close to being cast as the new Incredible Hulk in Marvel’s upcoming film, The Avengers, which Joss Whedon is set to direct.

Ruffalo would be replacing Edward Norton, who recently spoke about not continuing with the Hulk franchise.

Ruffalo can be currently seen on the big screen in the critically-acclaimed film The Kids Are All Right, where he stars alongside Julianne Moore and Annette Bening.

Amanda Seyfried Upsets Leonardo DiCaprio

Amanda Seyfried was saddened to learn that her boss Leonardo DiCaprio, who’s producing her new film Red Riding Hood will not be starring in the film.

She then reportedly upset the actor by asking him to play her father and telling him to “age himself up.”

Seyfried said: “Unfortunately he’s not in it. I asked him if he would play my dad but he got insulted! He said, ‘I don’t do male leads in love stories any more’. And I said, ‘I wasn’t talking about the male leads, I was talking about my dad. You’re what, 35? Age yourself up a bit!’”

Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock Reunite for Most Wanted

Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock are teaming up again for the new action comedy Most Wanted.

The pair last starred together in The Proposal.

Reynolds is executive producing the movie, along with his business partner, Jonathon Komack-Martin.

The film centers around a criminal suspect (Bullock) being escorted to court by an FBI agent (Reynolds), both of whom are ambushed on the way and have to go on the run.

Chace Crawford Arrested

Chace Crawford was arrested earlier today (June 4) for possession of marijuana.

According to a police report, the 24-year-old Gossip Girl star was arrested in a pub parking lot in Plano, Texas and charged with a misdemeanor for having two ounces or less of marijuana.

Crawford is no longer in police custody and has been bonded out of jail.

According to TMZ, he was in a car with a friend when he was busted and cops found one unlit joint.

Uma Thurman Targeted in $30 Million Ponzi Scheme

Uma Thurman, along with Wesley Snipes, Sylvester Stallone, Al Pacino, Martin Scorsese, Nora Ephron, David Blain, Neil Simon, Mike Nichols and Annie Leibovitz are all targets in $30 million ponzi scheme.

Financial adviser, Kenneth Starr was arrested yesterday (May 27) in his Manhattan condo– where, according to The New York Times, he was hiding in the closet, until federal agents spotted his shoes underneath the door.

Many of his celebrity clients got their money out before the scheme unraveled.

Thurman, was reportedly set to confront Starr about $1 million that had mysteriously gone missing from her account.

The money, however, was replenished when Starr took it out of the account of another client, a talent agent and his wife.

Julia Stiles in Talks to Join Dexter

Julie Stiles is currently in negotiations to “play a major, top-secret role” in the fifth season of Dexter.

According to EWStiles might play a love interest to Michael C. Hall’s character, following the death of his wife (played by Julie Benz).

Stiles can be seen next in the big-screen adaption of Sylvia Plath’s “The Bell Jar.”

She’ll play the novel’s protagonist, Esther Greenwood and actress Rose McGowan will play Doreen. The film is set for a 2011 release!

Glee Picked Up for a Third Season

Fox’s hit show Glee has just been picked up for a third season – and they haven’t even finished their first one yet!

Show creator Ryan Murphy released a statement saying: “It’s been a whirlwind year – from shooting the pilot to performing at the White House to the concert tour that began last week – and yet we all feel like we’ve just begun this amazing musical journey. We think our Gleeks worldwide are going to love what we’ll have in store for them in seasons two and three.”

Megan Fox Dropped from Transformers 3, Says it Was Her Decision

Megan Fox will not be appearing in the third installment of the Transformers franchise.

Her rep said:

“Megan Fox will not be starring in Transformers 3. It was her decision not to return. She wishes the franchise the best.”

Paramount Pictures also confirmed that the actress’ contract was not renewed.

The studio, along with director Michael Bay are currently looking to cast another actress to play Shia LaBeouf’s love interest.

Production is set to begin this summer with a July 2011 release.

James Franco Returning to General Hospital

Seems like James Franco likes soap operas!

The actor had a recent stint on the show this past fall and will return next month – his official first airdate is June 30.

According to a statement from the show’s executive producer:

“We are so thrilled to welcome James back to General Hospital. We had such a great time with him and are very excited that he decided to return to Port Charles to take care of unfinished business.”

Franco added:

“Working on General Hospital was a great experience. I love the cast, writers, directors and producers. They have become a new family for me. I can’t wait for the work we will do this summer.”
