Katie Holmes Guest Starring on How I Met Your Mother

Katie Holmes will be guest starring on a special Halloween episode of How I Met Your Mother.

Holmes will play the Slutty Pumpkin character.

For those that do not watch the show, the character is a a potential love interest for Ted (Josh Radnor) and both had met each other at a previous Halloween bash.

According to the show’s co-creator Craig Thomas, casting Holmes has been “literally six seasons in the making.”

Katie is a lovely and talented actress, which is why we’ve saved for her perhaps the most classily named character in our show’s history,” co-creator Craig Thomastold NYMag.com, adding that the role was “literally six seasons in the making.”

Eliza Dushku: White Collar’s New Guest Star

Dollhouse alum Eliza Dushku is making a guest appearance on an upcoming episode of White Collar.

Jeff Eastin, the show’s creator said that Dushku will play a character “who’s obviously very sexy” and has a short fling with one of the show’s regular characters.

Eastin also said that there’s a possibility for Dushku to be brought back for future episodes.

“We did it in such a way that if it works out, we could bring her back,” he explained.

According to THR, she’ll appear in the third season’s ninth episode.

White Collar kicks off its third season on Tuesday (June 7) at 9/8c on USA.

Patrick Dempsey Confirms Next Season of Grey’s Will be Last

orDuring a recent interview with Italian Vanity Fair Patrick Dempsey confirmed that the upcoming eight season of Grey’s Anatomy will be his last.

The actor revealed that he “can’t see [himself] doing it anymore” and ” the last season is gonna be my last…I do not know what’s going to happen to the other characters, but for me it’s done.”

According to his rep, however, “He was referring to the fact that his contract is up at the end of next season and we have no idea what the future holds.”

Ashton Kutcher Replaces Charlie Sheen in Two and a Half Men

Ashton Kutcher has officially replaced Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men.

CBS announced the news on Friday.

“I can’t replace Charlie Sheen, but I’m going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people!” Kutcher said in a statement.

Sheen reacted to the news on Friday via TMZ: “Kutcher is a sweetheart and a brilliant comedic performer … Oh wait, so am I!!”

He also took another swipe at creator Chuck Lorre, saying, “Enjoy planet Chuck, Ashton. There is no air, laughter, loyalty, or love there.”

NBC Cancels Perfect Couples

Sad news for Perfect Couples fans.

NBC has canceled the relationship comedy series due to low viewership.

According to the network via a press release, Perfect Couples has been canceled and will be replaced by the delayed premiere of The Paul Reiser Show on Thursday April 14th at 9:30/8:30c.

The new series follows comedian Paul Reiser who plays himself and “It’s been a few years since his hit TV series went off the air. Since then, he’s been enjoying the quiet life at home with his lovely wife, Claire, and kids and generally minding his own business, writing and producing television but enjoying life out of the spotlight. Getting him into trouble — and into adventures — are a group of new “friends,” most of which he didn’t choose since they’re the husbands of his wife’s friends and the dads of his kids’ classmates.”

Kristin Chenoweth Joins Good Christian Bitches

Kristin Chenoweth has signed on for ABC’s new pilot series Good Christian Bitches.

The show is based on the book of the same name and is exec-produced by Darren Starr (Sex and the City).

Good Christian Bitches centers around Amanda (Leslie Bibb), a recently divorced mom of two who moves back to the affluent Texas neighborhood where she grew up to find herself immersed in the world of of gossip, Botox and duplicity.

Chenoweth will play Darlene, the queen bee.

Charlie Sheen Fired From Two and a Half Men

Warner Bros. has fired Charlie Sheen and has terminated his contract from Two and a Half Men effective immediately.

“After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on Two and a Half Men effective immediately,” the show’s producers said in a statement.

The termination is putting the future of the show in jeopardy.

CBS has declined to comment, but according to a source “no decision has been made” on whether to continue with a new star or to cancel it all together.

The show went on hiatus after Sheen started speaking badly of his boss, series co-creator Chuck Lorre in several bizarre interviews.

Sheen responded to the firing in a statement: “This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of their bazillions, never have to look at whatshiscock again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension.”

Zooey Deschanel: Chicks and Dicks Pilot for Fox

Zooey Deschanel is in talks to join a new comedy series for Fox about the sexual politics of men and women.

The show, which was originally titled Chicks and Dicks, is being written and produced by Liz Meriwether (No Strings Attached).

If she signs on, Deschanel will play the role of Jessica, an optimistic but unlucky in love elementary school teacher who, after her most recent break-up, moves out of her apartment with her ex and moves in with 3 juvenile guys.

Debra Messing Joins NBC Pilot

Debra Messing is getting back to her TV roots with an hour-long musical pilot called Smash.

The Will & Grace star is very close to landing the role and signing a deal with NBC.

Steven Spielberg, Chicago’s Craig Zadan and Neil Meron and Hairspray songwriters Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman are behind the show, which follows a diverse cast of characters “who come together to stage a Broadway show about Marilyn Monroe.”

Messing will play Julia, a good-natured lyricist who “is slow to embrace the commercially-iffy subject matter.”

Amber Heard: Playboy Bunny For NBC Pilot?

NBC is eyeing Amber Heard for its new drama pilot Playboy.

The show will center around a group of women working in the New York Playboy club in the 1960s and thematically explores the nation’s coming sexual revolution.

Chad Hodges (Tru Calling) penned the script for NBC’s first pilot order of development season.

Heard can be seen next in Drive Angry, which opens on Feb 25 and she also stars alongside Johnny Depp in The Rum Diary.
