Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake to Star in Runner Runner

Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake are in negotiations to star in Runner Runner, a film set in the world of offshore online gaming and centers around the deteriorating relationship between a business founder and his protege.

Brad Furman (Lincoln Lawyer) will direct the film.

Runner Runner will start production  this June

Timberlake can be seen up next in Inside Llewyn Davis, a film directed by the Coen brothers that also stars Carey Mulligan, Garrett Hedlund and John Goodman.

DVD Review: Jane by Design: Volume 1

Over the past couple of years ABC Family has stepped up its game with their shows, and Jane By Design is no exception.

The show is a witty, entertaining and something to look forward to week after week.

Jane By Design follows 16-year-old Jane (Erica Dasher), who finds herself working for a high-powered executive Grey Chandler Murray (Andie McDowell) at a hip fashion house after she is mistaken for an adult.

For fashionistas, the show is perfect, as it gives a look behind the scenes on what happens in the fashion world.

But what’s really enticing about Jane By Design is watching Jane juggle two worlds – her high school life and her big city fashion life.

Lets also not forget about Jane’s friendship with Billy (Nick Roux), who knows about her secret and always has her back no matter what.

What’s great about Jane By Design is how the show really brings out its characters – Jane’s ongoing perkiness no matter the situation, Grey’s Devil Wear’s Prada behavior and Billy’s wittiness.

With clever writing and the ongoing curiosity of what’s going to happen next, Season 2 can’t come fast enough.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Are Engaged

It’s official! Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are in fact engaged.

“Yes, it’s confirmed,” Pitt’s manager Cynthia Pett-Dante confirmed. “It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There’s no date set at this time.”

Pitt helped design Jolie’s ring with the help of jeweler Robert Procop.

The pair have been together since 2005 and have six children together: Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5 and twins Knox and Viv, 3.

According to an earlier interview with CBS News, Pitt said that he and Jolie were “getting a lot of pressure from the kids.”

First Look: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper in Serena

Check out the first image from the upcoming thriller Serena starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper.

Serena is an adaptation of the New York Times best-selling Ron Rash novel.

The film follows George (Cooper) and Serena Pemberton (Lawrence), a 1930s newlywed couple who travel to North Carolina to seize control of the timber industry. Serena soon shows herself to be the equal of any man: overseeing crews, hunting rattle-snakes, even saving a man’s life in the wilderness. Together, this king and queen rule their dominion, killing or vanquishing all who stand in the way of their ambitions. But when Serena learns that she can never bear a child, she sets out to murder the woman who bore George a son before his marriage. And when she starts to suspect that George is protecting his illegitimate family, the Pembertons’ intense, passionate marriage begins to unravel as the story moves toward its shocking reckoning.

NYGossipGirl Exclusive Interview: Krysten Ritter

A while ago, I got the pleasure to talk with actress Krysten Ritter about her new film Life Happens and her new show on ABC, Don’t Trust the B in Apt. 23.

NYGG: Can you talk about the film and what drew you to the role?

Ritter: Yeah, so the film is called Life Happens and it’s about two girls and one of them gets pregnant and sort of throws a wrench in their fabulous plans. I play the girl who gets pregnant. It’s a buddy comedy, Kate Bosworth is also in it playing a very funny dry character. We have a fabulous cast, Rachel Bilson, Jason Biggs, Seymour Cassel who plays my pop and Rhys Coiro from Entourage, who’s heaven.

NYGG: You also co-wrote the script. Were there any challenges getting it together?

Ritter: Basically, [director] Kat Coiro and I came up with the idea and we were sort of going the Hollywood route and going to development. All the stuff you see in the movies about it being development hell, it’s true! And then one day we said let’s just make this by ourselves with our best friends in our backyard for a nickel and that’s what we did.

NYGG: What was it like playing a pregnant lady, did you learn anything?

Ritter: We skipped that part [laughs]. It’s pre-pregnancy – before and after the birth so I didn’t have to do the bump or anything, but it was fun. It’s challenging having a baby and I think we capture how hard it is in a very realistic and fun way.

NYGG: The film features this great group of girls like you mentioned. Did you guys have a lot of fun filming together?

Ritter: Yeah it was very girly. The director’s a girl, all the producers are girls. Hair and makeup consisted of my best friends. It was a girl party and I think that’s the best kind!

NYGG: Can you talk about your new TV show?

Ritter: Apt. 23 is about a bitch in New York who cons young girls from into giving their life savings to live with her in her apartment. It’s really good , watch it!

Steve Carell In Negotiations to Star in Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Steve Carell is in talks to star in the live-action adaptation of the popular children’s book Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.

The book follows Alexander, who wakes up with gum in his hair. Things go downhill from there.

Carell will reportedly play Ben, Alexander’s father.

Lisa Cholodenko (The Kids Are All Right) is set to direct.

DVD Review: The Descendents

Alexander Payne’s The Descendants is a film that tackles a lot of different emotions, but in the end it’s about coming to terms with a loss of a loved one.

In this case, it’s Matt King’s (George Clooney) who has to tackle these emotions.

Matt is a lawyer living in Hawaii, as well as an absentee father and husband who has a hard time taking care of his daughters while his wife is in a coma. Matt is frightened at the thought of raising his 10-year-old daughter Scottie (Amara Miller) and Alexandra (Shailene Woodley), an angry 17-year-old teen.

After finding out about his wife’s infidelity from Alexandra, Matt not only has to come to terms with the fact and learn to forgive his wife before she dies, but also consider a deal that is worth hundreds of millions of dollars if he sells off the last piece of Hawaiian property he inherited from his ancestors.

With the help of his daughters and Alexandra’s friend Sid (Nick Krause), Matt sets out to inform his family and friends about his wife’s imminent death, while at the same time hiding her infidelity and tracking down her lover Brian (Matthew Lillard).

Clooney really brings Payne’s script to life in The Descendents and gives insight to how people deal with grief in their own ways.

The film is not only visually beautiful, but ties in the complexity of grief and emotion.

Nicole Kidman in Talks to Star in Grace Kelly Biopic

Nicole Kidman reportedly beat out a number of top actresses to take on the coveted role of Grace Kelly in the upcoming biopic Grace of Monaco.

The movie will take place between December 1961 and November 1962, when Kelly maneuvered behind the scenes as Princess of Monaco to save her nation from political turmoil.

According to Variety, Kidman, has not officially closed her deal to star just yet, but she’s in advanced negotiations to topline the pic.

Carson Kressley Hosts Blush Lingerie Launch at Bloomingdale’s SoHo

Fashion guru of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and Dancing with The Stars celebrity Carson Kressley presented the sexiest new lingerie to launch at Bloomingdale’s yesterday.

The “What Makes You Blush?” event showcased the latest styles and Kressley spoke about variety and affordable price points of the Blush Lingerie’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

Also unveiled at the event was the hottest new hardcover book, Second Skin: The Exotic Art of Lingerie, featuring Blush Lingerie on the cover and is available on stands now.
