Dakota Fanning is a Teen Vogue Cover Girl

dakota_coverDakota Fanning is this month’s Teen Vogue cover girl. The actress can be seen next in Twilight Saga: New Moon. She talked about the film as well as co-star Kristen Stewart. Here are some snippets:

On why she took the role of Jane in ‘New Moon’:

“I read all four Twilight books in one week. It’s such a phenomenon, and I wanted to be able to say that I was a part of it.”

On working with Kristen:

“We became really close, like we’d known each other for our whole lives. We talk all the time.”

On transitioning into an adult actress:

“I’m going to get older, and I want to act for the rest of my life—it’s what I love—so I have to move forward with my career. The choices that I make might not always please everyone, but I have to do what I feel is appropriate and right for the time.”

On going to high school:

“I really wanted a home base, because I feel like no matter how old people are, they remember homecoming. They remember their senior prom. And I really wanted that.”

‘Twilight’s’ Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Cover Harper’s Bazaar

hbcover

Twilight fans will be happy when they pass newsstands. The two stars of the film, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are on the cover of Harper Bazaar’s December issue (out Nov. 17).

Here are a few highlights:

Kristen on her fashion style:

“I’m like, fuck, I’m not wearing a neon-colored tube top or something pink. I think it’s sexy when chicks wear black slouchy trousers — fitted, but slouchy. I look at designer clothes on Rob and I’m like, ‘I want those pants, man.’”

Robert on Kristen:

“Kristen doesn’t take any slack. She sticks to her guns — and that’s difficult to do. I don’t really know how to act. I’m kind of guessing everything. … Even though I can conceptualize stuff, she can actually do it. I can make something so complex and then be like, That was pout 27. She’ll decide on someone a lot quicker. She has a lot more self-esteem than I do, so she’s like, ‘You’re an idiot and I don’t want to talk to you,’ and I’m like, ‘I’m an idiot too!’ So I’ll talk to an idiot for like three days before deciding.”

Robert’s thoughts on who Googles themselves more:

“She would say me, but I reckon it’s her. If either one of us catches the other one doing it, we’re like, Jesus Christ, is that what you’re looking at? And the other one’s on their phone pretending to text. I look up my competition more than she does. I’m incredibly shallow. I think she just looks at herself.”

Kristen on acting:

“Anything that I do for work, I’m nervous about. If I’m not nervous about it, then I shouldn’t be doing it.”

People talks to the stars of the film and gets behind-the-scenes information.

“This is a severely emotional movie,” Stewart says.

The magazine hits newsstands this Friday and the movie opens on Nov. 20.

Kristen Stewart Gets Interviewed by Dennis Hopper

kristeninterview

kristen

In the latest issue of Interview magazine, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) is interviewed by Dennis Hopper (who was recently hospitalized.)

Here’s an excerpt from the interesting interview.

DENNIS HOPPER: Before we start, I have a little six-year-old daughter here who’s going crazy right now because you’re on the phone. Could I just put her on for a second to say hello?

KRISTEN STEWART: Yeah, sure.

HOPPER: Okay, her name is Galen. [hands phone]

GALEN HOPPER: Hi!

STEWART: Hi! How are you?

GALEN: Good.

STEWART: It’s really nice to meet you, Galen. [pause] Hello?

GALEN: Hi!

HOPPER: [takes phone] She’s so excited.

STEWART: Wow, that made me so nervous!

HOPPER: It made you nervous?

STEWART: Yeah. I’m just sort of intimidated by kids. I didn’t know what to say.

HOPPER: Well, thank you for doing that. So how are you doing?

STEWART: I’m pretty good. I’m not very good at interviews, but this is a trip. Why in god’s name did you want to do this? You have no idea how cool this is for me.

HOPPER: Well, you’re a really good actress. And my daughter is your biggest fan, so I thought, What the hell? [laughs] I usually don’t do this, either. But you must be going through a lot right now, the way Twilight is hitting. You must have no peace at all.

STEWART: The sad thing is that I feel so boring because Twilight is literally how every conversation I have these days begins—whether it’s someone I’m meeting for the first time or someone I just haven’t seen in a while. The first thing I want to say to them is, “It’s insane! And, as a person, I can’t do anything!” But then I think to myself, God damn it, shut the fuck up.
