Nicole Richie and Joel Madden Marry

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on Saturday (Dec. 12) in Los Angeles on Lionel Richie’s estate.

The couple, who have two children together exchanged vows in front of about 130 close family and friends.

Reportedly, there was a trained elephant that was spotted being led into the estate, although its role isn’t known.

Richie and Madden exchanged Neil Lane rings.

“They wanted an Old Hollywood, glamorous feel to their wedding,” a source told People. “They’re going all-out with the decor. Nicole wanted a memorable, elegant affair for only their closest friends and family on their special day.”

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden Are Engaged

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have gotten engaged!

Richie broke the news during a taping of the Late Show with David Letterman, airing tonight (Jan. 15).

The couple who have been together for more than three years, have two children together, Harlow and Sparrow.

“Yep. i’m engaged. Very happy,”  Madden wrote on his Twitter page. “Yeah we’ve been engaged for a while so your all kind of late on that. But Thanks for the hooplah all the same.”

A source told UsMagazine.com:

“Nicole and Joel are in the process of planning the wedding. She’s very involved in every detail. She’s thrilled.”

Celebrities Get Paid to Tweet

Yes it’s true!

You may be following celebrities on Twitter and reading what they write, but Kim Kardashian, Nicole Richie and Lauren Conrad are among the long list of celebrities that are paid to tweet for companies, which include Sony and Nestle.

According to Ad.ly, a company who connects tweeters – both famous and not – with ad partners, Kardashian and Soulja Boy both earn $10,000 whenever they tweet for cash via Ad.ly.

Kardashian, who recently tweeted for Nestle, denied claims that she gets paid to tweet.

Over the weekend, the reality star wrote on her blog:

“Am I not allowed to talk about something I like without people assuming I must have been paid to do it? I want my fans to know what products, gadgets, foods, clothes and beauty products I like and I love sharing all that with my fans.”

Celebrities like Heroes star Greg Grunberg and Channing Tatum, however, donate their tweets to charity. Unlike Kardashian, they earn an estimated four figures per tweet.

Nicole Richie Will Guest Judge ‘Project Runway’s’ Season 7 Premiere

Project Runway heads back to New York for an all-new season, which premieres in January.

Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia will once again make one designer’s dream come true.

Like last season, which was filmed in Los Angeles, this season’s show will also feature celebrity guest judges.

Nicole Richie will be the guest judge on the season premiere, which will air on Jan. 14 on Lifetime.

Project Runway executive producer Sara Rea says of Richie:

“Nicole is a fabulous guest judge. She has strong opinions and gives clear and specific constructive criticism to the designers. Also, she isn’t afraid to disagree with the other judges.”

Richie, who filmed the episode before giving birth to her son, Sparrow, has her own fashion line, Winter Kate and a jewerly line, House of Harlow 1960.

Nicole Richie to Create and Star in Comedy for ABC

Nicole Richie is working on a television project for ABC, which she will not only produce, but will also star in.

The mother of two took to her Web site to report her big news.

I am so excited to announce that I am officially working on a television project! I am creating a half hour scripted comedy for ABC in which I will be starring in, as well as producing.

The story revolves around a young, modern and professional woman who must balance her business and family relationships. She must deal with, and navigate the many ideas of what a woman’s role is: modern vs. traditional.

Lately, I have been surrounded by many different women of all ages and walks of life. It amazes me to watch and observe how many different ideas there are about what a woman’s role should be in this era. I’ve taken these fascinating ideas, and compiled them into something that I think will be very special (and funny!). We’re still in the very early stages and I can’t wait to share more with you soon!

Introducing Nicole’s New Baby, Sparrow

Nicole Richie graces the cover of new the issue of People magazine with her new baby boy, Sparrow.

The new mom has a 21-month-old daughter named Harlow with Joel Madden. She talked to People about the latest addition to their family.

“I couldn’t be happier. The only thing you want is for your kids to be healthy and happy, and they are. I’m right where I belong.”

“I’m glad I had a girl before I had a boy. She just loves him so much.”

Joel adds,

“She’s very gentle with him.”

Nicole Richie Involved in Car Accident

Nicole Richie was involved in a car accident today with a paparazzi. She was rear-ended by the camera man, who has been arrested for driving without a license.

Richie said that she was in pain, but “would not go to the ER and told authorities she would see her own private doctors instead.”

Her children weren’t in the car, but TMZ is reporting that an adult male passenger was with her.
