Megan Fox Donates “Love The Way You Lie” Appearance Fee

Megan Fox, who appears in Eminem’s “Love The Way You Lie” music video featuring Rihanna, has donated her fee for her video appearance to Sojourn, a shelter that provides abused women and their children a safe space to regroup, rebuild and reestablish their self-esteem and lives.

In the music video, Fox and Dominic Monaghan play a couple in an abusive relationship.

The pair have several kissing scenes and during a recent interview Monaghan said it was “alright” kissing Fox.

“What is it like kissing Megan Fox? It’s all right. No, I’m just kidding. It’s fine, it’s work. She’s married. I have a lot of respect for marriage. I said, ‘Look, I know that you’re married and I don’t want to do anything inappropriate.’ And she said, ‘It’s all kind of inappropriate, huh?”

Rihanna: Elle Magazine July 2010

Rihanna rocks a purple and gold dress on the July cover of Elle Magazine. Here’s what the 22-year-old singer opened up about:

On boyfriend Matt Kemp: “I have a boyfriend. I’m so happy. I feel really comfortable, and it’s so easy. I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace. It keeps me sane, really, talking to him and talking to my family.”

On her favorite designers: “It’s clear there are definitely fewer black women in the high-fashion industry. One of the things I respected most about Gucci was that they did a print campaign with me. I’m a black girl on a fashion spread for Gucci—that was a big deal. I respect designers who aren’t afraid to go outside the box. I went to a Jean Paul Gaultier show, and I saw girls who are thicker than me, beautiful and voluptuous and different ethnicities. That made me so excited. I thought, Okay, I can work that, for sure.”

On this past year: “A year ago, I was very confused. Because [Chris Brown] was my best friend. All of a sudden, one night changed our whole lives—not only our friendship, but our lives. I wanted to wake up one day and just not have that pain anymore. I wanted to be with him again or get over him—it was either-or. I just didn’t want to feel the pain, the confusion.”

Rihanna: W Magazine February 2010

Rihanna-W-MagazineRihanna looks stunning on the cover of W magazine in a white Gucci dress. Here’s what the 21-year-old had to say:

On her preternatural maturity:

“I’ve been paying my own bills since I was 17, living in a foreign country. And I’ve always been a little older than my real age. People always said that to me, and I always felt that in my head.”

On not talking to anyone after she was assaulted by then-boyfriend Chris Brown:

“Not talking was a big thing for me. I’m glad I didn’t talk to people, because I was able to deal with things in my own way, without saying the wrong things or giving people the wrong impression.”

On her new record:

“This was a different type of record for me. It was really personal; it was from me in the most authentic way. It’s like a movie, in that when I was making this album, every day I was in a different mood. Sometimes I was pissed off, sometimes I was miserable, and every song brings out a different story. It’s still hard to listen to certain songs. Certain ones I couldn’t even record—I’d keep pushing them back [on the schedule]. When the label finally said we had 12 hours to turn in the album, I was like, Okay, I have to do it. I just drank some red wine, dimmed the lights, got in the booth and sang it.”

On her look:

“My stylist Mariel Haenn and I always try to do something sexy but never too girly—we always try to put a little toughness in there.”

Rihanna: GQ Magazine January 2010

rihanna-gq-magazineRihanna poses topless on the cover of GQ’s January 2010 issue. The singer talked about Chris Brown and her music. Here’s what she had to say:

If anyone helped her after the Chris Brown incident:

Nobody. Really just music. And working. ‘Cause I didn’t really want to be around anybody, for them to stare at me and stuff, and feel sorry for me. So I just—I stayed in the house a lot. Then I started to get cabin fever. I was like, I’m going crazy in here.

On whether she and Chris will ever be friends?

Mmm. Maybe in like ten years, you know? But it’s not something that I’m depending on. I’m not depending on his friendship.

If she blamed herself after the incident:

Initially? I mean…actually, no, I never blamed myself, but I wondered what, what did I do to provoke it?…

Rihanna: He Had No Soul in His Eyes

rihannainterview

During a segment on Good Morning America, Rihanna opened up to Diane Sawyer and talked about the abuse she endured from ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

On what happened the night he attacked her:

“I caught him in a lie, and he wouldn’t tell the truth. And I wouldn’t drop it. I couldn’t take that he kept lying to me, and he couldn’t take that I wouldn’t drop it. It escalated into him being violent towards me and it was ugly.”

On what she was thinking during that time:

He had no soul in his eyes. Just blank. He was clearly blacked-out. There was no person when I looked at him. I was battered. I was bleeding. I was swollen in my face. There was no way of me getting home. My next option was to get out the car and start walking in a gown and a bloody face. So I really don’t know what was my plan. I didn’t have a plan.”

On how she feels about Chris now:

“I don’t hate him at all. I actually love and care about him and I’m concerned about him doing well. I want him to do well, have a great career, have a great life and grow up, and just take this as something that you had to go through to grow up and learn.”

Rihanna Opens Up About the Chris Brown Incident

rihannaglamour

Rihanna, who is one of Glamour magazines ‘Women of the Year,’ opened up about the Chris Brown incident. Read some of the highlights below.

rihannaglamour3On the first time she auditioned for Jay-Z:

I was nervous as hell. The night before, I couldn’t sleep. I was trying on a million different outfits and makeup. I remember seeing Jay-Z and starting to shake. I thought he would be in a suit, sitting behind a desk with a cigar. But he was totally chill, wearing sneakers and a T-shirt. Then I went into audition mode. I knew it was all or nothing. Right away, the Def Jam people said, “You can’t leave the building.” They closed the door, and the lawyers stayed until 1:00 or 2:00 A.M. to do the deal.

On having the picture of her bruised face released:

It was humiliating; that is not a photo you would show to anybody. I felt completely taken advantage of. I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it’s my life. I was disappointed, especially when I found out the photo was [supposedly leaked by] two women.

rihannaglamour2On being a changed woman:

I’m stronger, wiser and more aware. You don’t realize how much your decisions affect people you don’t even know, like fans.

Her message to young women:

Domestic violence is a big secret. No kid goes around and lets people know their parents fight. Teenage girls can’t tell their parents that their boyfriend beat them up. You don’t dare let your neighbor know that you fight. It’s one of the things we [women] will hide, because it’s embarrassing. My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery. The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn’t heard. Now I can help speak for those women.

On her new album:

I was involved in a lot of the writing. I put everything I’ve wanted to say for the past eight months into my music. The songs are really personal. It’s rock ‘n’ roll, but it’s really hip-hop: If Lil’ Wayne and Kings of Leon like my album, then I’ll feel good. I would not change anything about it. Even if people don’t love it, I made exactly the piece of art that I wanted to make. It’s super fearless—which is exactly how I feel right now. I am in a really good place.
